I've been looking for a long time for a copy of this movie that isn't the MST3K version. While it's one of my Favs, I'd love to see it as it was released. The only thing I've found is someone selling a vhs copy for like 80 dollars on Amazon......

It has different opening and end credits than the version titled Pod People, which lifted scenes from The Galaxy Invader. Don't know if that's exactly what you're looking for, but it's cheap.

It's on a Sci-Fi DVD collection of 50 films called "Sci-Fi Invasion" under the title "Extraterrestrial Visitors." I found it at Best Buy for $10.
