First of all I acknowledge I am likely over thinking this.
Early on in this "film" we have the three poachers. One of them stumbles across a glowing red cave full of alien eggs.
For some reason his immediate impulse is to begin crushing all the eggs. Does anyone know why that is his reaction?
He saw the aborted alien hatchling in the egg he initially broke and completely freaked out. He apparently veiwed them as a potential threat and felt they had to be eliminated.
When you look at the rampage the mother alien went on, he was right to assume they could be dangerous.
Of course we know absolutely nothing about the aliens and what their purpose on Earth was. The rampage may very well have been caused precisely because of what the hunter did. Mothers DO freak out when their young are threatened. So there's really no way to know if the aliens came to Earth with malicious intent or not. They really didn't flesh that part out at all
In order for Trumpy's alien species to be a successful protein consuming predator though they would need some way to rip the flesh of their victims into smaller chunks.
We should see something like raspy teeth like a moray eel at the end of the snout for proper feeding success, but since Trumpy lacks those we should assume razor-sharp retractable claws which can be scissored against each other to chunk off the soft flesh of the prey into snout-inhalable chunks.
We can assume that they have a raspy anteater tongue hidden within their snouts (to clean the snouts of parasites). Their fur would be hard to clean from small parasites like Lice, but once the lice crawls or bites, a quick telekinetic crush squeeze or yank ensures no more lice on the body. However, that might mean also that any successful predator parasites on Trumpy have to inject an anesthetic into the flesh before feeding. The vacuum snout could be also a way to exploit infestations by consuming the lice off other members of Trumpy's species. The snout could also indicate a species that consumes small prey from streams.
Self-Grooming should be very easy for the alien species of Trumpy, but we haven't seen any telekinetic movement of liquids.
The hard shell of the eggs plus the body fur of Trumpy's species also indicates a probability that Trumpy is warm blooded and exists in cooler climates rather than tropical zones.
Since the alien species of Trumpy has a small hole dedicated for consuming food, liquids, & breathing they are at a distinct disadvantage for fungal predation.
If I were a fungus on Trumpy's world, when one of those creatures entered my growth zones, I'd release a cloud of spores.
The spores would adhere to the fur & flesh allowing free growth. Given the food-drinking-breathing snout's limitations for any species, all airborne fungal spores have a high chance of being inhaled. If these spores have a toxic or a narcotic stupor-inducing effect, then you could have a Trumpy drop dead in your growth zone, rot, and lead to happy times for your fungal growth. The best form of fungal predation would be an addictive euphoria-inducing fungal narcotic spore (like cocaine or opiates for humans) which would encourage the alien species of Trumpy to regularly wander into the spore field for another inhaled dosage which would eventually lead to overdose & death, but a series of deaths which results in a regular feeding for the fungus.
Form follows function, but function also indicates a whole bunch of other information to an outside observer.
The mere fact that the alien species of Trumpy (just as having the retarded alien of Steven Spielberg's E.T. not dying from eating chocolate) can consume peanut proteins without dying horribly tells me more about the genetic amino-acid nature of Trumpy plus a bunch of the weaknesses.
Well, unless the eggs grew huge after leaving the body of the mother (like a seed pod) then logically the creature that laid the eggs would've been WAY HUGE (an 8 foot tall chicken or reptile of an alien beast like in the "Aliens" series of movies). Much bigger than the creature the movie plot calls the "mother" of Trumpy the Alien.
That creature may look like Trumpy in adult form, but there is a better chance of it being more like a hairy salamander.
Trumpy has a long snout, a humanoid body (2 eyes + 2 legs + 2 arms + 1 head), a body covered in hair, two forward-facing eyes plus 2 forward-facing ears (predator characteristics), telekinesis, and retractable claws (Trumpy's claws are retracted & Trumpy's "mom's" claws are not).
Trumpy is shown eating peanuts by suctioning them up with the snout, so it can inhale through the snout, consume small items through the snout (insect eggs, dead insects, seeds, blood, water, etc). The vacuum snout would indicate an opportunistic grazer, but could also indicate a blood-drinking predator (holes ripped in the flesh by Trumpy's species claws.
Now the issue of Trumpy's telekinesis & glowing eyes also bring up other questions. You could use the eyes for illumination, but in the process, blind yourself with them unless you lit up only one eye at a time. That would indicate that Trumpy's alien species is a successful night predator (imagine being another predator that is hunting a Trumpy, then it kicks on a one-eyed highbeam light in your face, blinding you for a moment, then Trumpy strikes).
Telekinesis is a killer predator skill. Remotely crush the heart of your prey or remotely destroy its eyes or simply block up the blood flow. The question then requires you to ask how any other predator would respond just to survive on Trumpy's homeworld? One way would be to be infested with parasites that don't bother you so much as it would kill the species of Trumpy. Trumpy kills you, eats you, and then is rendered weak with parasite infestation. Being a toxic predator would also work if your flesh is poison to the species of Trumpy. Being a Surprise Predator would also work (like a Trap Door Spider or the Spitting Asp). The next way would be to be smaller than Trumpy's species could immediately spot with an annoying high-pitched noise (like a cloud of mosquitoes). Camouflage Predation would be another method of Surprise Predation against Trump's species.
He worked for KFC and wanted those frozen chickens that were inside.
shareYeah, I thought the same thing. Why in the world is he smashing the eggs he knows nothing about? Trumpy's brother (or mother) didn't start the killing rampage until he was attacked. The two poachers attacked him for no reason.
Of course, a lot of things in this movie happened for no reason.
I think something went horribly wrong in the editing room because they show completely different looking aliens in the opening credits.
