Thoughts on Uncle Bill

Okay, first of all, Bill was a jerk. He treated his nephew meanly, and him refusing to open the door when someone outside was injured earned him my undying dislike. Now that we're past that....

Did anyone notice, when the three poachers are in the woods in the beginning and the one guy (the one with the glasses) is all jumpy and is generally being unreliable, and the white-haired guy says the "should've brought Bill along," only to be reminded by the "Huzzah!" guy that he now works with the rangers.

Is it possible that Uncle Bill is the same Bill they were talking about? There's ample evidence, because he knows where the ranger station is, AND when he and the other guy find the dead poacher, Bill recognizes him.

Wow, good theory! Somehow I never quite connected that single line from the poacher in the beginning of the movie with Uncle Bill, but you're probably right. I did find it odd that Bill recognized the dead poacher, but if he were a ranger it would make much more sense. Either that, or there are ten people in the county and they all know each other ;)

Wow...never thought of that!

I mean, I probably vaguely wondered how/why Uncle Bill knew the latest Braille-inscribed corpse so well.

After all, he knew his first and last name, and his illegal occupation (something that people probably don't talk too freely about, I would imgaine.)

Or are we giving far too much credit to a really crappy monster movie that was dubbed from Spanish and probably didn't really have names like Bill and Tommy to begin with?

Were any you raised or did any of you ever live in a small town or rural community? It's no exaggeration that everyone knows everybody and everybody's business.

I rewatched this monstrosity today, and the OP hit the nail on the head. The darkhaired guy said, "I wish Bill was here." The Lorne Greene character responds, "he's gone over to the other side. He's working with the rangers now."

Is that a rumor or did you just make that up?

It also seems likely that Uncle Bill is the mother's Uncle, since he looks considerably older than her. And no one adresses a Great Uncle as "Great Uncle" anyway

I liked Uncle Bill. He had the right idea to kill all the annoying characters in this movie.
