Observation about killer in 1st story...SPOILERS...

I may be missing something but I'm sure the gas station attendant in the 1st story - Terror in Topanga - is the guy whose face they show on the television at the start when they are talking about the escaped killer. The actual killer is nothing like the guy shown on the television.

Anybody else think this is strange - or please enlighten me if I've missed something obvious that ties it all together.

I'm sure you're never gonna see this cause it's been over a year, but anyways I just checked after reading this and they do show the killer on tv. Not the gas station attendant

It's been a while since I watched this and wondered the same thing.
I think they did that on purpose to make us think the gas station
attendant (William Sanderson) was the killer. Same thing with
when they show his shoes because they look like the killer's.
