Blofeld's boutonniere

In the videotape that Blofeld (Max von Sydow) makes to threaten the British Govt, although his face is not shown, we see a one of those special buttons in his suit lapel such as are worn by recipients of military decorations. Each such button has a distinctive pattern by which knowledgeable people know the particular medal represented. I forget the precise pattern worn by Blofeld but perhaps someone can identify the boutonniere for us. Could it be the French Legion of Honor?? (It seems to me that the British Secret Service should have made an effort to identify it as part of a plan to track down Blofeld.)

It is worth mentioning that, as part of the settlement between the Broccoli organization and the NSNA producers, in return for allowing NSNA to go forward, the NSNA people reciprocated by granting the Broccoli organization permission to (continue to) make use of things that might have been claimed as property of the original Thunderball collaborative effort, such as the SPECTRE organization and the Blofeld character. Instead, to show a certain contempt for this concession, the Broccoli people positively killed off Blofeld (without mentioning his name) in the very first minutes of the next James Bond movie, and he and SPECTRE were never ever mentioned again in James Bond films.
