They should have made this R-rated and really graphic.

It wasn't an official Bond movie, so why make it like all the others? There should have been blood, gore, cussing, and t*ts. Like Kim Basinger t*ts or that bad chick's. How awesome would that have been?

Well that's still not what Bond is about. And I doubt Sean Connery would've taken too kindly to it. Also, I'm sure the film-makers wanted this is be a blockbuster. Had it been rated R, it would've been underperformed at the box office, and been crushed by OCTOPUSSY. Sure it still was, but not as bad as if it was an R.

Except for t*ts and cussing, that "bad girl" Carrera gave you all of that...while parading around in sexy and flamboyant fashions. I think it was an excellent balance between "R" and "PG", and not your typical Bond film at all....

The makers bottled it. They knew that the EON films were blockbusters, so even though they had Connery back, they kind of leant towards the PG family Moore films rather than going edgy. Anyway, it was kids going to see films back then, unlike now where you have a wider demographic.

It was touch and go securing an audience back in those days, before films like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon reignited the movie world.
