Never say Skyfall Again
The entire first act of Skyfall is lifted from Never say never Again! Who would have thought?

shareHuh ?
All Bond films open with an action scene and NSNA is no different. Skyfalls opening bears no resemblance to NSNA at all.
Not the opening. The First Act.
shareNEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
Bond in training. Goes to Health spa, gets in fight. Nuclear warheads are stolen.
SKYFALL
Bond gets in fight and is nearly killed. MI6 being threatended. Bond comes back to work.
Don't see the connection.

Skyfall was far better than this film could ever have dreamed of being.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
@TheSolarSailor
Skyfall has plot wholes without end. So on the train M asked for shooting now. It was important now. And than nothing happens until Bond is back healthy ?!? So it was not necessary to shoot. Or does the vaillan wait for Bond being back ?
Or that explosion in the tube. From where in the hell did the vaillan know, that Bond would catch him there and he needs explosives exact at this point to get advantage ? Is he able to watch in the future ?
All Craig-Bonds are stupid hard action, seen before, no special new ideas, no humor. All copies of seen before and so much missing, what makes Bond movies a Bond movie. The real only good move in Skyfall is the old gimmicks including the old Aston Martin. But that's really the only thing.

I think you need to see Skyfall again. The first scene of this movie is not similar to Skyfall at all. Skyfall's opening scene was pretty awesome and over-the-top, typical Bond, but this film's opening scene sucked beyond words and set the tone for the rest of the film. I don't see the connection at all.
I specifically reminded her - bedside table! On the Kangaroo!
Do pay attention! First act not the first scene.
shareI know what the OP means.
The first act, after the pre credits.
NSNA- Bond is out of shape, needs to go to health spa to be declared fit for active duty
Skyfall- Bond recuperates in the Pacific somewhere after being shot. When he returns, he is out of shape, and needs to go through a series of physical and psychological tests to be declared fit for active duty.
Thank you.
shareI agree, and I find it funny how this opening may have the same 'origins':
NSNA: "We need to somehow explain why bond is so old, yet still is in great shape"
Skyfall: "We need to somehow explain why *the bond franchise* is so old, yet still is in great shape"
I think both movies sucked massively. But everybody is free to their own opinions on either, obviously :)
