I like it better than Thunderball

And it's definitely a better send off for Connery than the pretty poor Diamonds are Forever. Heresy, maybe, but I find of Connery's films, Thunderball drags a bit in the middle, and gets a little dull. The pacing is better in NSNA. And you can easily make out what's going on in the underwater scenes in NSNA . Largo here is acted much better than Adolfo Celli in Thunderball.

Claudine Auger and Kim Bassinger are...about on par in terms of hotness as Domino

Both Fiona Volpe and Fatima Blush are cool villains.

What do you think? Do you prefer Thunderball or Never Say Never Again?

But probably NSNA

I probably like this better because of Fatima Blush. And yes, Klaus Maria Brandauer was more interesting as the villain. It's close though, because stealing a Vulcan jet is a lot cooler (and actually had better effects) than stealing some cruise missiles. And for being 20 years older, the underwater scenes in Thunderball were done quite well.

I'd go with Thunderball. NSNA does drag in places as well (the stupid world domination game..ugh).

There are some good spots in NSNA. Fatima Blush is one of the best. I also liked Bond's motorcycle, and thought Connery looked cooler in a Tux and Helmet in that chase scene than most other chase scenes.

Honestly I didn't really like Kim Basinger though. I find it odd in both Thunderball and NSNA, I didn't find Domino that appealing. The villainess was much more sexy, and interesting. I know we're supposed to find Domino, sexy and tragic that they are the mistress of a SPECTRE leader. But the Domino character comes off as bland, and really not sexy at all.

Just my 2 cents.

Thunderball is miles better.

I gave them both an 8. But kind of like NSNA a little better. Kim Basinger is hot

Thunderball is my favorite Connery Bond, so I gotta go with that. It had that suave 60s vibe and Connery didn't seem thoroughly bored with the role yet.

I do enjoy NSNA, but some of that is because of the nostalgic pull of it being the first Bond movie I saw in the theater.

Not to be a pig, but since the subject of the duel Dominos came up, I always thought Thunderball Domino was absolutely beautiful, but I recently watched NSNA for the first time in a long time and Kim's body is definitely on point. Sort of a win-win, if you ask me.
