Did Connery sleep with Bassinger in this one?

I couldn't watch the whole thing the acting was pretty bad. But I looked up their ages at the time and Basinger was a young 30 in this while Connery was 53. I did see the scene where he is massaging her and he lifts her towel and is oggling her naked body as she turns over. What is odd is everything is cool with the age difference in this film or if it was in real life but go back 13 years when Basinger is 17 and Connery is 40 and all of a sudden he is a pedophile. What makes him less of a pedophile 13 years later?

I think you missed my point. Just saying if (in this film) Basinger was a 17 year old starlet and Connery was 40 you know all hell would have broken loose as he would be accused a child pedophile etc. Just wondering what makes it right 13 years later.

Why not go back 13 more years. It's not the same because they aren't the same. They are two adult actors playing parts that's all.

Did Sean Connery get any grief for romancing a woman who was literally young enough to be his daughter like Roger Moore received during his later Bond movies? I mean, what really convinced Roger Moore that it was time to stop being James Bond was when he found out that the mother of his last Bond Girl, Tanya Roberts, was also younger than him at the time.

Because 13 years makes that difference. A 30 year old and a 53 year old are both considered to be mature emotionally developed adults who can make rational decisions.

If you saw a 70 year old and a 93 year old in the same situation, would you call the 93 year old a pedophile too? Following your logic, you could subtract 65 years and get a 5 year old and a 28 year old.

They could get away with it because they were GROWN A$$ ADULTS!!!

We are not talking about an actual 17 year old child.....and a 40 year old man here!
