Or was it a bruise. tattoos in 1982 were uncommon unless you were biker or rock star..

She looks to have a tiny tattoo. I just picked up the blu ray edition of this movie and I saw it once when she was swimming and another time when she was with Bobby.

I realize your OP is now over a year old and you've probably long since died but...

Tattoo's were not uncommon in 1982.

They were just as common as they are today.
