Product Placement
Can anyone else think of another 80s movie where so much product placement was done?
shareGood question! The laundy scene alone must have had 10 products on prominent display.
As for other 80s movies with a similar amount of product placement - Back to the Future 2; E.T.; Mac & Me.
Wayne's World did it brilliantly and sarcastically in the early 90s. Demolition Man was one of the worst abusers ever, simply for the Taco Bell references. And in modern times, the winners are Talladega Nights (arguably done sarcastically, but still for massive profit) and The Island.
I remember seeing Wayne's World in the theater with friends. That was funny even when I was 14. Gotta love Mr. Mom though too. Funny stuff.
