Unrealistic Portrayal of Detroit

Just found out most of this movie wasn't shot there at all. And considering almost all of the cast is white and middle class or higher. The grocery store was all white and the auto factory showed a black and Hispanic man and that was it! And the advertising agency with people in a city like that was laughable.

So, they chose to film this in the *white* suburbs, instead :)

Please! Even Dearborn, St. Clair Shores, and the like aren't nearly that nice!

I dunno. Looks exactly like the white suburban Detroit that I grew up in, down to the home styles and interiors.

This was supposed to be the Detroit of yesteryear, not today's with urban youths robbing people for $1, home invasions, welfare, Medicaid clinics and gangs destroying once peaceful communities. Why would any person, regardless of color want to live in such misery?
