john clease's best scene

ok john clease is the best of the lot there but his best scene is in the restaurant with the fat man, he gave him the wafer min then hauled a$$ out of there and jumped into cover, hands down the funniest part of the whole movie.

reply

"Oh, dear. I have trodden in Monsieur's bucket. A FRESH BUCKET FOR MONSIEUR!
*Creosote vomits on his foot* AND PERHAPS A HOSE!"

Cleese originally didn't want the sketch to be in the movie, but then he agreed because he realized the waiter was the best character ever.

If you were offended in any way by the preceding post, go make one yourself.

In fact I find that scene quite erotic, if you might. John can't avoid being tempting. His intentions are obscure, and it seems as if he wanted Mr. Creosote to explode. When the latter looks at his own beating heart and skeleton it's almost hysterical. Great bit, second only to the birth scene.

bunch of second hand electric donkey-bottom biters!

reply

favourite is in that scene, but its at the end, just before the cut, you see him eating something out of cresotes stomach.

also when he's death and he's gathered everyone, he starts skipping

reply

Yes, he was great in that scene! But I also like him in the sex ed scene, the way he seems so impatient and frustrated with his students is what makes the scene funny in my opinion!

reply

John Cleese is the master of deadpan. One of my favorite scenes in this movie is during the Zulu war, when the narrator mentions the "calm leadership of the officer class," and to illustrate this, John Cleese is sitting there, shaving, in the middle of the battle.

"Oooh, such heat this morning. I don't need this jacket!"

reply

Well I wouldn't single any one of the Python's out as being the best of the lot. I have my favourites sure, but they all have their place in the team.

As for Cleese's best scene, I'm gonna go with Sex Ed professor - brilliant!

I have never liked the Creosote scene, not being a huge fan of vomit myself. It's so off-putting I just can't watch it, so I may well be missing out on something wonderful in terms of John's performance.

reply

Yes, I too never understood what's so brilliant about the Mr. Creosote sketch. But it is true, Cleese never wanted this on the movie and then found that the waiter was his favourite character in it. But then again, Cleese didn't want the movie to be made at all and didn't like the finished product.
