Hey guys, I'm doing a blog project on the Top 50 films of 1983 (according to box office) and just recently posted my entry on MAX DUGAN RETURNS. I was really completely unaware of this film until I started this project and was actually pretty pleasantly surprised. I would love some feedback from anyone on my review or any memories you might have of seeing the film back when it was released in '83.

I really dug your review. It was pretty interesting reading someone's opinion of the film from a 'younger' generation (I'm in my late 30s). I was 11 years old when this movie was released. It came on cable about a year later...summer of 1984 to be exact and it was played a lot. I LOVED IT! It reminded me of then and reminds me of today my single mom and me...though we never had a mysterious man with lots of money show up. LOL--I guess we're still waiting on him to show up TODAY! The movie is warm without being mushy. And Good God--the comedic chemistry between all of the cast is incredible! Your review is an upbeat tribute to a sometimes forgotten gem of a movie!
