Is he DEAD? What ever happened to Bill Forsyth??? I LOVED his films, I thought he must be dead, what the story mornin' glory? ta-

Sadly there doesn't seem to be much of a market for his type of heartfelt, offbeat but very human films and he doesn't seem capable or interested in being a sell out.

To be perfectly honest, after "Local Hero" his movies started to well, get less "accessible" and then just started to get IMHO bad.

"Comfort and Joy" was good, as was "Housekeeping," though the latter was a bit strange to the ordinary viewer not familiar with his other work.

"Breaking In" was so-so, but IMHO "Being Human" and "Gregory's Two Girls" were almost unwatchable; even the movie critics who worship Forsyth considered "Gregory's Two Girls" to be pretty horrid.
