The music at the end....same riff as 'The Snowman'

Just caught the end of the film and the long closing piece of music. Every now and again it goes into the exact same tune as "I'm walking In The Air" from "The Snowman".
Kinda weird! :)

HA! I thought the exact same thing! Glad to know my mind wasn't playing tricks with me, there :-)

IS THIS SOMETHING YOU CAN SHARE WITH THE REST OF US, AMAZING LARRY?!?!

Thanks for that reply....I was wondering if it was just me!

I noticed it too, the video was on at the week end on viva in one of those top christmas song thingies

It's not a case of 'sounds like' - it actually is 'Walking in the Air', or at least Tangerine Dream's version of it.

Just to confirm this, I watched a showing of the film last night at the cinema and there is a credit to the original writer of the snow man in the ending credits to that effect.

Thanks for the info.
For some reason, I thought "The Keep" was a few years older than "The Snowman", hence my mysterious surprise at hearing the "Walking in the air" tune.
I now see it was made a year after "The Snowman".
Still pretty weird though hearing it at the end of "The Keep" of all films! :)

Check out The Pat Methany Group - "Chris", for somthing with a similar vibe to parts of the TD music in The Keep.

It's not the same, just a similar sound.

This is not america David Bowie
"life is Chiaroscuro matter" Fabio

I came here to make the same point, but with reference to the Doctor Who theme tune. Maybe I'm getting the two confused.

It isn't the same as.. it IS "The Snowman".
It is in the credits and so is whoever it was that played it.
