What are some other strange films around this time period? I remember the keep and mother lode being quite odd as a child.

The only film above that I don't own on DVD is "ON THE SILVER GLOBE".

"POSSESSION" was on TCM last week.

One thing is for sure is that the late '70s and early '80s had a lot more original and strange ideas than the films of today.

Blue Velvet came out in '86, not '82.
