If they had given him a gruesome, memorable death like Quint’s, the ending would have been a lot more memorable. We don’t get to know his nephew very well so it’s not that big a deal when he gets offed. A main character’s death would’ve added more dramatic weight.
shareYes, all reasonable. Plus, Calvin moved the captured shark too soon, and turned off the pumps twice. Everyone of those decisions something bad happened. Calvin is equivalent to the mayor from first 2 installments who also was spared.
