The 1980's-era 3-D was okay enough. Reasonable depth and all. Today's processes are of course better.

Watched in yesterday on AMC with my 3D-capable Panasonic, it had a lot of depth is some of the dialogue scenes. However none of the major effects worked correctly and the you can now see the huge matte line that surrounds Jaws when she crashes into the control room.

It doesn't help that the commercially available transfer is from the early days of DVD and taken from a piss poor conversion of a 3D print.

There are newly restored digital 3d prints making their way around the Retro Circuit.

Alamo Draft house in katy, tx ran a copy and it was newly restored Hi-def Digital 3d copy.

While i ahve seen the film a hundred times and it's one of the weaker ones, it was cool to finally view it in 3d. Universal did a great job. Colors were vibrant and the picture was crisp. Sound was good too.

Unlike movies today that are put out in 3-d with no effect of nothing that comes out at you from the screen. JAWS 3-D at least had fun scenes coming out at you.

I paid real money to see this back in the day. I remember the film being very out of focus and the 3-D stuff was very lame with most stuff as usual comingvat you butvit didnt work well. Seemed like a poor mans 3-D. The movie was lame and that didnt help. Dolphins and whats her face dumb blonde. Talk about over acting. My god was she bad. Horrible cast.

In a word: No.

In three words: the #D sucked.

As did the photography, editing, and color processing!
