35 foot shark? Try 60 feet (or more)

Based on everything we see in the film, there's no way the shark is merely 35 feet. There's one scene where the shark is swimming up on Fitz, the guy is probably 5'9" - 6'0" tall, and the shark from top to bottom is at least that tall. That's ridiculously huge! Then look at the scene where it breaks the glass (control room) at the end. It was so big that it could barely fit just its head in there, and the rest of it sticking out made it look like it was at least 70 feet long! I mean, it's pectoral fins were so wide that it must have been nearly as wide at the control room itself from tip to tip!!!

I actually think it's really cool that the shark in this film is so big and the biggest one of them all. But I just felt the need to throw out there that the idea that this thing is only 35 feet is laughable. It's at least double that. Easily.

You may be right.

Doubt it. That puts it close to Megladon.

The shark seems to change sizes throughout the movie. Though 35 feet is one damn big fish.

JAWS 3 has the biggest shark of them all and I'd definitely consider it a meg because of how big it is. It truly does seem bigger than 35 feet in a lot of shots.

That's actually true. I think it's relatively the same size through most of the film, but towards the climax it gets bigger in certain shots.
