They are both essentially the same plot.... An attempted theme-park attraction runs amok during business hours, wreaking havoc and eating up the tourists. On that note, JW is just a rehash of JP, which in turn was Michael Crichton re-working his own WESTWORD idea, but with dinosaurs instead of cowboys.
So... in the end, WESTWORLD and Jaws3D are the same.
I watched JW over the holidays, and i was shocked how stupid it is now.... Like totally lame. I thought it was 'pretty decent' when i first saw it in the theater, but with each successive viewing, it becomes more and more worthless. And i say that, being a big fan of dinos, and Jurassic Park, in general.
I'll even say JW looked fake.... The animals and people never looked convincingly on the same plane of existence. At least in Jaws 3D, the fake shark was really 'there' (not including the part where he broke through the glass).
My thoughts exactly. And the struggle of moral decisions concerning the shark as an animal versus a spectacle for money. Real viewpoints that I'm surprised some people don't bring up in stupid 200 million dollar fan fare today. J3-D hits these pretty well, and yeah, the effects, as bad as they are, torpedo any JW movie of today easy.
