Hi,

While i agree Jaws 1 is a classic and one of the best horror movie ever made. Exorcist being the best. Jaws 2 is the best sequel and also a classic. Jaws 2 had the same story as the first.

Jaws 3 is not as bad as people would like you to believe. The theme park was a great idea. I have a soft spot for this movie and i watch it often. I'm one of those people who like "B" horror movie.

The teaser trailer with the shark fin is great too.

Anyone out there who liked this sequel ? This movie has now made around 88 million in revenues on a 18 million budget. I would not call that a flop. It almost made back 5 times the budget now. the film costs 16 million to make. 2 million were spend apparently on film promotion.

I'm a wanna be filmmaker and seeing behind the scene documentary on youtube make me wish i could be on that set

I loved it when I was 7. Thought the mother shark was scary and FitzRoyce's death *beep* me up for a while. But the movie really sucks.

Saw this in the theatre when it came out. The 3-D effects were actually pretty good. While I don't consider it a great move, there's still something about it.
Every time it plays on TV, I have to watch it. And I have the DVD as well. So yes, there is something about the movie I love.

I kind of enjoy it as a guilty pleasure. While it may not be a good movie, it still had some good ideas and fun scenes that made it watchable. And although it's technically a sequel, it can still work and be viewed as a standalone movie.

The same cannot be said for the 4th installment though: Jaws: The Revenge is just outright embarrassing. It takes itself way too seriously, it's concept is ridiculous and full of inconsistencies, it can't be viewed as a standalone film, the special effects are bad, and overall it's just boring.
Some Jaws fanboys insist that it's better because it "feels like a true sequel" due to Lorraine Gary returning and references to the first film. But playing homage to an original classic doesn't make an inferior sequel any better, and in this case it only serves as a reminder of just how inferior it is to the original 1975 film.
