U know the classic one, with the mystery, scary big old houses, creepy paintings on the walls and all that cool stuff that use to be in the old one! Do anyone know other movies like this to recommend?

Somehow, this movie reminds me of the weird classic "Deathtrap (1982)".
It has great performances by great and famous actors, and a house as a setting. The plot is also more interesting than a regular horror movie plot would be.
I don't know why this movie reminds me of "Deathtrap", though - it's not completely similar. I have to say, though, that this movie is pretty lousy compared to "Deathtrap".
But it's always worth watching these eighties movies, because of the eighties atmosphere, that is nowhere else to be found nowadays - except perhaps eighties TV shows, musicvideos and other videos filmed during that magical era.
I feel sad for the generations that have not felt the eighties first-hand - they have no idea, what they are missing.
In some ways it reminded me of Deathtrap as well.
shareThis isn't the first adaptation of Earl Derr Biggers' novel "Seven Keys to Baldpate". There were numerous versions filmed. I've seen versions from 1917, 1929, 1935, and 1947 (all titled Seven Keys to Baldpate).
