There seem to be many people looking for this on DVD. I wish I'd found this site earlier...I might have saved some of you from ebay bootleg hell. I purchased my copy here:

It seems to be a legitimate release...if it is a bootleg it's the best one I have seen. Picture and sound quality are good. It does not appear to be a VHS transfer. It is factory pressed and the case and insert display the paramount logo. There are no extras, but the show itself is worth the price. Hope this helps.

It's a bootleg. There are no legal DVDs in the US.

Why isn't this on DVD? I'm dying to see this in it's entirety. I've only seen a few clips on YouTube.com and it's hilarious. I guess I can try to download an MPG of this and just burn it on DVD or something.

If you had seen this you would know why. I reckon its never been re-released on dvd because of all the gay jokes! I think now a days it would be politically incorrect.

i just downloaded the full thing off limewire, and burnt it to a DVD

This standup was never released on dvd because Eddie Murphy didn't want it to be. I guess he regrets some of his early work.

I've got it on DVD. They were selling it at ezyDVD in Hurstville (Australia). It was $35 but worth it lol.

Black Cauldron is wrong. It was released on a collector DVD in the mid-nineties. I know because my friend owned one. It was in no way bootleg but for some reason after the early prints they stopped. Most of the ones you will see for sale on line are NOT bootleg.

There never will be a Legit' release of this movie on dvd. You wanna know why?

Coz of eddie murphy's religion.

Apparently he is not re-releasing this movie on dvd because of all the times he swears. his religion forbids it. i heard it from an interview with eddie murphy himself.

a dts soundtrack on something like this is pointless, unless they
somehow remaster it in 5.1, which, for a standup show, is pointless.
well, i guess they could make jokes go over people's heads, aurally.

A DTS track would have been great for the DVD.

Hell, a cleaned up transfer would have been even better.
