Filming a 3-D short film based on 'Eddie Murphy Delirious'
I love this stand-up bit. I love everything about it: the jokes, the audience, the nostalgia, and of course Eddie.
Filming a short film in 3-D based on this event is a dream coming true. Because I am so obsessed with this one-hour stand-up that I want to visually explore every single area and moment that took place on that August evening of 1983.
Artistically, this would be a mixture of, not only, acting and comedy, but also of cinematography, production design and historical accuracy! The latter of which is my favorite.
Filming in 3-D would also let the viewers feel like they were a part of the audience, and by that, the viewer could observe and discover so many hidden things that couldn't be found by watching the original DVD or VHS. For example, hearing (and seeing) the woman yelling out either "Do Mr. Rob", "Take it off" or something else. Perhaps you would know when watching the short film.
Please tell me what you think of this idea! :)
