Why was there a10 year olds in the audience?

I don't think they give MPAA ratings to comedy acts but surely someone would be at the door to say 'sorry, no minors'

Conquer Your Fear, and you will Conquer Death

No, there's no such rule unless there is actual nudity in the show. Eddie wasn't actually performing sexual acts, just talking about them. As long as they're with their parents, it's OK. Children can see R-rated movies as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

When I went to see George Carlin (RIP) live last year, people brought their children. It's up to the parent what they want their children to hear.

George Carlin: It's all bullsh-t and it's bad for ya.

Ah, well that explains a lot.

Then every son of Troy will DIE!!!

Either the parents were stupid or just couldn't get a sitter for the kids.

Um I was 10 when I first saw this and I thought it was hilarious!!! We taped it on cassette tape and listened to it again and again! I haven't seen it in ages so I don't know what I would think about being it now or being allowed to see this now, but I think I turned out ok. I do remember "I waaaant some icecream !!!I waaant some icecream!!! You want a lick? psych you can't have none!!!" Hehehe!!! Yeah Eddie Murphy was huge among my age group..I don't remember another comedian like him at the time, just as I was coming up, So was he! Bill Cosby was good on the Bill Cosby Show but he was mild and Richard Pryor was definitely for the more mature...Even though we stayed up late night to watch his specials but at the time It was Eddie Murphy was hot, I loved that red leather suit!! I was certainly not being the only tween into him at the time! I loved him in trading places and I feel like I grew up with his movies. You have to remember we started watching SNL because of him, which we could watch on TV and his skits were the funniest! I believe our generation was raised by the TV. As far as seeing something Rated R meant was you could go with someone who looked old enough to be 17.Sometimes a parent, or a babysitter would drop us off to things like this and buy the tickets and give them to us and then we would take the train home or get picked up by the same parent or babysitter. This was why my mom started letting me babysit when I was 11 anyway cuz my babysitter would leave my little brother's at home and bring me to her parties.
