reply

My request has been sent!

Maybe deep down.. we have a need to be scared.

reply

WHY ELSE DO WE GO TO THESE MOVIES.
PERHAPS WERE TAKING A DARE
PROVING TO OURSELVES THAT WERE NOT AFRAID.

TERROR IN THE AISLES IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIE ALSO

reply

Don't bother. This is one film that won't be hitting DVD anytime soon. Anchor Bay said they wanted to release it ages ago, but the rights to it are no longer available. :(

reply

Were you able to get an actual response regarding this from Anchor Bay? I've tried emailing them before about this and have never heard back. Who owns the rights then?

reply

It was in an interview where one of the owners did for a website a few years back. They aksed him if Anchor Bay would eb releasing that film on DVD and he said that they would love to but that they tried and the rights were no longer available. :(

reply

Rights no longer available? Who's being a jerk and not letting anyone release it?

reply

I have no idea, but they wouldn't let a great company like Anchor Bay get their hands on it (who would have given it the DVD release it so rightfully deserves).

reply

If you read the interview with Peter Simpson on WWW.Terrortrap.com he states on there that Alliance Atlantis own the rights to this film now like they do with the first 2 Prom Night Films too, is a very interesting read & shed's some light on the re shoots etc & show's a still from the alternate ending on the Stage

reply

Well, if Alliance Atlantis owns the rights, then this film may eventually be released on MGM/UA DVD. That is the company that mostly releases Alliance Atlantis releases in the States. AND, MGM/UA has been re-issuing some pretty obscure stuff the past couple of years or so. They even gave us an uncut "The Brood" (by David Cronenberg). I had never seen it uncut until I got the MGM DVD. They also released the film "Inserts" last year (which was pretty much out of circulation since it was new, in 1976!). That film (Inserts)was originally X-rated, but has been re-rated NC-17. (It's completely uncut, the NC-17 has simply replaced the old X). Anyway, maybe they'll put "Curtains" out one day. Maybe you guys should be pushing MGM/UA instead of Anchor Bay,etc..

reply

Released today in the UK.

I was talking about "Inserts" being re-rated NC-17, not "Curtains".

OWN EQUIPTMENT. HER WE SITE IS WWW.KIMSDVDCLASSICS.COM SHE ALSO

thanks for the info. i just ordered a copy of curtains on dvd-r from that site.

reply

Does the film look decent on DVD-R? I still have my VHS version but I know it won't last much longer as I have watched it many times and it's one of those heavy 80's tapes.

reply

If you just want to see the movie and don't care much about quality, someone has generously uploaded it on to Youtube. Just search "Curtains 1983."

reply

You can also download it from a website: cultrararevideos.com

Im downloading mine now.

It said that the post on terror trap was removed or something similar.
"For the record", this counts as my request.
'Curtains' is a really solid film.

reply

I want it released on DVD too! Unfortunately the poll is offline.
Try the Swedish companies Njuta and Noble Entertainment. They are releasing lots of rare stuff from the 80's.
