No victim in this movie talks directly to the killer neither does the killer say something. None of the victims have a clue who the killer is.
So my guess is you are talking about another movie.
You might be thinking of The Comeback. It's a British film staring Jack Jones as a singer who is terrorized by a killer in an old hag mask. It's not a bad little chiller.
