Synapse Films got the rights!

Synapse Films is reporting today that they have gotten the rights to Curtains and they have the original negatives to work with.

Excellent news!! I read they are making a 2K transfer based on a found reel, a HUGE improvement over the travesty that was Echo Bridge's sorry excuse for a DVD release. Hopefully they will announce a release date soon...been waiting forever for a proper release of this slasher classic.
