Question About the Ending SPOILERS

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Here's my question about the ending:

Was Patti (Lynne Griffin) imagining the entire events of the film? Was the whole thing and all the kills in her head? Or was she merely in the mental institution after she killed everyone?

It's hard to tell. There's valid reasons for both theories. Patti could have actually been Samantha Sherwood in the mental institution (in the beginning).

Does anyone know if the writer or director has clarified the ending via commentary or anything?

I assume the simplest explanation: Patti is committed after killing everyone. But honestly, that's an assumption based on nothing but one viewing and not much afterthought.

She actually killed everyone. There's a deleted scene where she's found on the stage with all her victims surrounding her.

I always interpreted that she was committed after killing everyone. But that’s an interesting idea, her imagining the whole thing. I never thought about that.
