An Overlooked Classic
I wish I had not missed seeing this on the big screen since its where something like this can be most appreciated. Apart from the intense acting, there was James Horner's wonderful music score as well as visual effects that still look good by today's standards. Okay, so the technolegy's more than a bit dated now. Such (IMHO) would give this flick an "A" minus at the VERY worst.
*Sigh*
But I missed it after Siskel and Ebert at the time gave it a luke warm to negative review.
Didn't bother listening to those guys again after that.
