Yes a sequel definitely would be interesting especially because of the way they got each other's phone number's and address and promised to keep in touch this time (due to the death of their friend and not knowing he was unhappy and was going to kill himself).
Nick ends up living on Harold's land -- in the place that the dead friend was fixing up -- and he also ends up living there with the dead friends young girlfriend (even though what happened to him during the war also means he can't have sex anymore).
Karen goes back home to her husband again.
Since Harold had sex with the character played by MARY KAY so she could get pregnant, her kid would also be the half sibling of Harold's kids (which would surely also mean he'd have kept in touch with her).
Sam also went back to acting again because Karen also said that she and her husband and her kids would like to stop by the studio sometime to visit him.
But since the other character Sarah warned her about how having sex with Sam would probably only drive a wedge between them rather than make them closer, it's probably also highly unlikely she'd ever visit Sam on the set. Because they were also acting like strangers more than lovers after spending the night together.
So that's what would happen. Nick lives on Harold's land with the girlfriend of his dead friend, Harold gets rich from selling running shoes, and the lawyer friend probably also gets pregnant by him (which was also Sarah's idea because she'd also had an affair with the dead friend).
