Is the music.

Especially when combined with the montage of pictures during the opening sequence.

The music and opening sequence really grates.

Well that and Sean Penn's horrendously ugly face.

It's a shame because other than those few things it's a really good movie.

..Right I suppose you would rather have some heavy metal or gangster rap playing during the baby pics.
..And Penn being ugly.. Well again you would want a model type actor like Pitt or Depp playing a juvenile thug.
The opening credits show that all thugs were innocent hence the innocent music.. Stop being such a hardass.
