...at any time did they actually start playing a game without preset (TD's) or plays but just let them play ball...Was the movie supposed to be J-town? I always thought it was supposed to be the Beaver valley (Alliquippa, Ambridge) Great film and the Ferndal unis are snappy against the Westmont Uni's

As far as the setting, the town of AMPIPE is fictional , but based on the town of AMBRIDGE, in Beaver County PA (But, really, it could represent just about any mill town here in Southwestern PA). The movie was filmed in Johnstown, though.
