Warren seems like a prototype for Patrick Bateman in 'American Psycho'

That's funny because I thought the same thing during the final scene in the nurse's dorm. Also, as soon as I heard that the daughter was a student nurse, I immediately thought of Richard Speck. However, I was unaware of the cop who planted evidence in the Thames Case. Wasn't Hitchcock's "Frenzy" also based on that case?
