Ebert calls it a "scummy little sewer of a movie" as if that's a BAD thing. What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
Yet Last House on the Left is a much bigger sewer. Go figure.
I think Ebert gave it 0 stars. Siskel still didn't recommend it here, but at least he saw some potential in it.
