Tommy Petersen

Anybody got any idea why Tommy was one of the top-billed actors on the original mini? He's hardly in it. About 2 minutes total!! He hadn't done much before (or since) and yet his character is at least 2 pay grades up from those played by Jason Bernard, Robert Englund, Richard Lawson and plenty others.

It was done to create a mystery 26 years later.

I suppose that because he'd had a small but significant role in one of the biggest hit movies of recent years (An Officer and a Gentlemen) the producers saw him as a star in the making. Didn't pan out, of course, and I'm fairly sure the Tommy Petersen listed on a couple of recent Danish movies isn't the same guy. Also listing a teen actor as a principal was presumably an attempt to widen the target audience.

Can anyone remind me what happened to Josh Brooks anyway? I haven't seen the series for years and I know he wasn't in The Final Battle... I don't recall whether his character dies or simply vanished without resolution.

He was the only survivor in San Pedro and Mike took him away to safety, but we never saw him again,. Either he went to live with family or stayed with the resistance.

Actually, the woman who Donovan gives Josh to to care for is among the residents of the mountain camp that Robert gives up the location to in exchange for Robin's return. We see Josh again on the assault on the mountain camp. Right before Julie does her Mexican stand-off with Diana's ship, she focuses on Josh running across the camp in slow motion after his guardian is wounded. She runs over and Josh begs her to help, then she pulls out her pistola and shoots at Diana's ship.
