be the valedictorian after taking one night school English class? I know it's just a show but that makes no sense

I'm not sure how it works but I thought maybe if ONE subject kept her from graduating maybe that one subject is all she'd have to take.

Lol. I thought the same exact thing.

Only way that remotely makes sense is if at the time she left high-school, she had all A's, and even that's a stretch.

She had more than one class.

No she didn't. It was clear that the only class that kept her from graduating high-school to begin with was English, and that's the only course she took to get her H.S. Diploma.
