I wanted to smack him for stealing the family silver to pawn it for his lowlife friend's bail money. He was either selfish and never thinking of his kids, or an idiot the rest of the show's run.

I also noticed the big change in his personality. The first two seasons he was a tough father figure and after his kids left. He became a big goofball.

It's funny b/c Vint was sorta thuggy acting in the early shows. I mean he seemed like the type who would be underhanded and not back down from a fight.

I cringe at that episode. but it's funny how Mama calls his friend a bum. & how she says "It's gone!"

Or how about him agreeing to that sham alien green-card marriage for a couple of thousand dollars and then when they wanted to stay with Vint so they can make it look real, he has the nerve to get mad at Thelma for not agreeing to all of it on the spot?

Vint was kinda a con artist in the early episodes.
