After the original show on NBC turned into first run syndication, did they ever mention what happened to Ellen? I remember they killed off Aunt Fran, had Ed and Eunice move to Florida, and left Sonja and Buzz's departures open to the imagination. However, I can't really recall if they ever said what happened to Ellen. Anyone know?

Ellen does appear once during the first syndicated season, so she still lives in Raytown.

As far as we know she was still around Raytown, just never shown again.

shareI always figured Ellen still lived in town. You gotta remember Ellen mostly only showed up when she wanted something from Mama. Other than she seemed to want nothing to do with her family.
shareI thought Ellen's character was made a lot nicer in season 2. She actually hung around with the family quite a bit, would just be over for diner for no reason and things like that.
