It'll welcome the show with a marathon on that day...yay! can't wait.

reply

I wish it was gonna be on another channel, but I'll take it.

reply

What's wrong Adrian? Afraid watching it on LOGO will cause you to catch "the gay"?

reply

LOGO usually only adds programs when one of the actors/actresses from the program are part of the LGBT community. Does this apply to any of the cast members of Mama's Family?

reply

I notice Mama's Family is somewhat popular with the LGBT community.

reply

Apparently Mama's Family has been popular with the LGBT community since it was first on the air. There's also a man who dresses up as her and does public appearances as kind of a drag queen-type thing.

Not true. LOGO has been adding more sitcoms that have "camp" value or pop culture worthy. A few years ago, LOGO re-branded itself to broaden itself away from exclusively LGBT content. They decided to go after straight women as well, similar to Bravo.

They show Three's Company as well. Love that show

reply

I'm so happy to see this show on tv again!

reply

Its actually been on the MeTV network for at least a year now.

MeTV is an OTA channel available in most of the country. Especially if you live near a medium or large size city.

reply

Watching and loving it!!

reply

Me too. I LOVE that Logo plays Marathons..... I JUST ADORE this show

reply

I hate it on LOGO. Too many commercials

reply

Is Logo playing the same overly-processed/ weird-looking copies of the episodes that run on ME-TV?

reply

I don't get ME-TV so I've never seen the show on there, but as a longtime fan who watched years of repeats on TBS and has the DVDs, I can say for certain the LOGO versions do look very weird. They have a kind of "cinematic" look, some softness/blurriness and jerkiness as if it's been sped up. I've even noticed several syllables here and there not coming in clear within dialogue as it's spoken. The theme song is sped up. The ending credits are gone. And they've added commercial breaks in between all the acts (though I haven't noticed anything cut out - yet). I'm still enjoying it - just happy it's back on TV - but I don't like the new look of it.

reply

The blame for the weird look of the show goes to Warner. They converted the videotaped show to high definition and the result is the mess you see on screen. The DVDs are in the original format.
