Penny is arrogant. Conceited. Immature. That's just for starters.

Penny is as bad as the wife from My Family. Two-faced and stuck up. Trying to put up with her stinking spoiled brat attitude is grating on my nerves. Heaven knows how this show managed to gain popularity with a *beep* like her. She's not a strong female character. She gets under the skin is what she does. Writing characters like this is NOT talented or clever. It's foolish!.

"Trick or treat. You bald headed bastard!"

She was very spoilt and immature yet somehow she is still likeable I find. She is no where near as bad as a lot of women in real life. I think Vince is definitely the more likeable of the two but I think together they had great chemistry and you want them to be happy together.

The world is your lobster.

Penny and Vince made a good team though.

Its that man again!!

I'm glad someone else feels the say I do about Penny (and about Susan from My Family). I just started watching this the other day and have made it as far as the flashback Christmas episode. First, I thought she was bitter because he'd jilted her, but now that I see this, I cannot for the life of me understand what he has ever seen in her. She's beautiful, but she is a nutjob - like all the women on the show, as a matter of fact, including the woman who pushed him off the pier for jilting Penny, but would have totally understood if he'd just murdered her. Seriously?

John Sullivan was more renowned for worrying male characters . Penny was his first foray into whoring for a female lead character

Well the character clearly went straight over your head

'Well I've got two words for you - STFU'

I loved it when penny was trying to convince vince that she was having affairs with lots of men and he was just laughing at her. Sums up the 2 characters nicely. She was uptight and he was easy going but they gelled very well. And considering the battleaxe of a mother penny had as an axample of womanhood growing up, i think she turned out alright.

John Sullivan- imagine them meeting the Trotters and others.
