Was there ever a series finale episode?Or just taken off the air?

In the final episode or maybe even the final two episodes Doc (The Old Man) meets Gobo just as he is about to move far away. Gobo not wanting to lose a new friend finds a new glowing tunnel that takes him to Doc's new place. It was a great end to the series.
