Other countries versions

Other countries doesn't have Doc and Sprocket in the series but their own actors and scripts. As Spaniard, I have always watched the American version of Fraggle Rock, but I have heard that in Great Britain Doc is a man living in a lighthouse. People here with different versions of Fraggle Rock?

I too would love to find the UK versions.

Search no more, my friend! Go to http://www.play.com for the UK versions of Fraggle Rock on DVD region 2. They currently have 4 titles available.

I got one of them myself, just to see the UK Doc (or Captain which he is here)

Enjoy!

Thats so crazy, I never knew this until today! I live in New Zealand and as far as I know, Doc and sprocket lived in some kind of workshop. That's what I remember, pretty sure that must be the original american version!

what did they do?

That's a great point. A lot of people don't realize that Fraggle Rock's "silly creature" scenes and Traveling Matt scenes were filmed all over the world in several versions, so that children could watch the show and see their own culture represented. It was a momentus undertaking that speaks to the message this show tried to get across to children. I look forward to showing this to my kids one day. The lessons are more relevant than ever. Heck, I think a lot of adults around the world should watch this.
