Yes, they were made from radish dust which was then pressed into Doozer sticks. The Doozer sticks are the beams which the Doozers used to make their buildings.

The Gorgs grew the radishes in their garden. Then Doozers drilled up from beneath mining the radishes, made structures out of them which were then eaten by The Fraggles. The Doozers were happy that The Fraggles ate their structures otherwise they would run out of room to build.
shareI remember they also seasoned them with other stuff, too. They had a whole episode devoted to it, where two of the doozers got into an Iron Chef competition over who's secret ingredient was the deal-sealer on their constructs. Then they made one doozer building with one ingredient apiece, and they tasted like *BLEEP*.
shareI don't remember the radish connection but I do remember that when I was a kid I really really wanted them to sell Doozer sticks as candy at the local shop so that I could eat them too!
Now that I know they're made of radishes they probably didn't taste like candy cane after all!! Haha.

Radishes, bleurgh! There seemed to be too few impurities for the building materials to taste like rock candy or candy cane. My understanding was that they mined Fox's Glacier Mints and smelted them. I spent a good portion of my childhood trying to recreate those delicious girders.
But, after several bits of foul-tasting, blackened candy ore I knew the Doozer refinement process was too complex to unravel and took to staring down rabbit holes instead.
