This is one thing that is never really talked about in the show. They eat the doozer construction but when you look at them they don't look like something that could be edible. It seems they would do more harm than good.

Doozer construction is made from radishes. The doozers want the Fraggles to eat their constructions so they can build more.
shareI should say 'SPOILER ALERT' here but theres an episode in the first season where the trash heap uses the radishes to teach a lesson to the gorgs, doozers and fraggles. Watching it explains everything (that is without giving the whole plot line away)
Yep - in fact one Doozer even sums this up in a great quote - "Architecture should be enjoyed."
