ALEXIS 'CHIEFS-1983 DVD?

I HAVE ABOUT 13 FAMILY MEMBERS AS WELL AS MYSELF WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO OWN A
COPY OF THE MOVIE "CHIEFS". WE LOVE IT JUST THAT MUCH. CAN SOMEBODY, ANYBODY TELL ME WILL THIS MOVIE EVER
BE AVAILABLE ON DVD? IS THERE ANY INTENTIONS OF PUTTING IT ON DVD? AND IF SO,
WHEN? VHS IS NO GOOD, IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE FULL, COMPLETE, UNCUT VERSIONS.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS THE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS, PLEASE FILL ME IN.

Well Cat Hair, will you please tell me how long the original version was because I truly enjoyed the 1983 airing years ago and can't remember how many nights I sat in front of the Triniton in Indianapolis as a U.S. Marine.

Thanks, P.S. Vic Morrow appeared in the 1966 Jerry Lewis Marathon for MS in Bham, Al. and honored a donor's call to "smile" in front of the camera. Don't know how much the pledge was for but that was the first MS telecast I watched because "Combat" was my favorite show.

Hi, I bought a copy of Chiefs on VHS years ago. It shows really good but one the first tape the sound is muffled, but the picture is good. I have been trying to find another one, but can't find one.

For a surprisingly low price, too.

Apparently this movie is popular in Europe, because it has been out on region II DVD for years. I see them for sale all the time on eBay.

If there were true peace on Earth, there would be no one alive to enjoy it.

pasted from the other link.

I don't know if it's allright to say this here or not. let me know if it isn't.

the dvd version of chiefs sucked. it had horrible sound and video, plus it had too many scenes cut out to make it fit unto that dvd. I managed to get my hands on the origianl unopened VHS tapes. I converted them to high quality mpeg files on my hard drive (it's 12gig long for the 2 mpegs files.)

I have burn them to 2 dvd with no problem. however I am trying to find a good authoring program that will let me put them on a dual layer dvd. I have it on a dual layer dvd now using dvd lab, but it one chapter for the whole thing. I know dvd lab could fix that problem, but dvd lab is a rocket scientist program and I ain't no rocket scientist. I did good to get it to make a working dvd.

I will continue to look for way to do this (nero will do what I want, but you lose the great video quality as nero encoders aren't that good) most of the good authoring programs only support a single layer dvd (ulead moviefactory support dual layer, but it crashes halfway through the project on 2 different computers)

if you are interested into obtaining the 2 dvd set copy or the 2 mpeg files from me. email me at vance43211(at)gmail(dot)com. I will send it out if you pay for the shipping and handling
