Did they ever say what happened....
To the other characters, like Winchester, Hawkeye, Margaret, etc.?
shareTo the other characters, like Winchester, Hawkeye, Margaret, etc.?
shareI don't know how reliable it is, but there's a Wikipedia article about the show and I think it said that Hawkeye became a pediatrician and Winchester married his high school sweetheart, but there was no mention of what became of Margaret and I think B.J.
Edit: My bad. I just read the article again and that information wasn't there. Someone must have changed it. If I find it again I'll let you know.
Sounds like pretty lame endings they wrote for those characters, but then After Mash itself was a pretty lame show from the beginning.
shareIt had its good moments, but I can see what you mean about the war/Korea being brought up alot. But then this was about the aftermath of war for not just the main characters but the patients as well.
My biggest problem with this show, besides the fact that the jokes were not funny (just look at any memorable quotes page for this show and you'll see what I mean), but they made WAY TOO MANY references to M*A*S*H, as if they felt the need to constantly remind the audience that this was a continuation of that show. After Mash didn't even try to become its own show, it relied too heavily on its parent show to keep it afloat. That and the "oh so genius" tactic of putting it on opposite The A-Team is what killed it, and it's obvious Fox is now embarrassed with this show which explains why it isn't on DVD.
Even the premise it bewildering. Colonel Potter, Father Mulcahy and Klinger all meet up again in a state hospital. Maybe if it were just two of them, I could buy it, but all three? Too much of a coincidence.
