Modern A-Team reboot that doesn't suck
I'm thinking about writing a pilot. Remake the A-Team... Hollywood tried, it was terrible. That kind of camp doesn't work these days, even if we miss it.
Imagine a reboot told from Murdocks perspective. They served together in the War on Terror, and rejoin together to go on adventures.
Scenes are filmed with both gritty reality, and the version Murdock sees... an '80s campy action show. The viewer is often left wondering which version is reality, how much each character is really "real" in each version.
The endless psychological twists would be interplayed with gritty action (picture Punisher Warzone etc.) and classicly framed '80s styling, cheese, and bravado.
In my opinion, this treatment would give the nostalgia, and allow the show to dive into extremely dark stories.
The kind of stories befitting a group of wanted Special Forces soldiers now working on the black market while trying to be decent human beings.
