I was wrong, Amy is still here and they bust Murdoch out of the VA for the first time in ages. A story where we'd really like to have seen more of Face as a politician, think Bilko and Batman getting into politics, arguably their best eps. On the bad side they seem to be subdued very easily when they're captured and once again Decker saves the day. Clifton James playing the role he was born to play and Andrew Robinson, almost unrecognisable from his previous role.

Too bad this was Amy's last episode. She was not certainly my favorite character, but I thought she added another dimension to the A-Team. Maybe they could have kept her as a recurring character, but I don't think Melinda Culea wanted to be a secondary character.

reply

She wanted to be one of the boys. That wasn't going to happen.

reply

No, but I do believe that the cast and producers talked to her about that first. It would have been interesting to see how that might have played out in this current age of television.

reply

She'd be in on the action and fighting nowadays, naturally.

reply

Yeah but the A-team was in a more sexist era, plenty of which I will point out as we'll go

reply

I will agree that it was definitely a different and less opportunistic time for women. In defense of the guys though----it wasn't as if Amy was military trained. She started out as a dainty reporter. Though it was kind of neat how she evolved in the first couple of episodes.

reply

They all seemingly got along pretty well. Interesting to know Peppard didn't care for her.

reply

Culea said that they were all too macho acting except for Dwight Schultz. So I don't know. I guess she didn't seem to fit in with the guys all that well.

reply

But, you'd never know it watching it.

reply

I remember seeing Dirk interviewed and saying the appeal of The A-team was it was a macho show and you'd never have that again so maybe there was that attitude? Although in the same documentary he starts chatting up Tawnia at the reunion.

reply

I saw it. Interesting. But, they seemingly all got along on-screen.

A credit to their great acting skills! :)

reply

Really. I mean, you'd never guess in a million years T and Peppard didn't get along. Or Culea felt like she didn't belong or whatever, or they didn't want her there.

If it's not broke don't fix it! Jesus Christ people, who obviously HAVE NO LIFE, sit around and watch a certain tv show or a certain movie and all of a sudden they start complaining about " why are there no women"? Or "how come there are no black people in this movie"? Or" how come they stereotype oriental people"?. For example the actor ( gedde wantanbe?) Who played Long duck Dong in sixteen candles had peopleB itching about him being stereotyped and what not.. OK listen up you DOUCHEBAGS, it was a movie. He took the part because HE WANTED TO! it was, and still is a funny movie. If the role calls for 2 white guys and 2 black guys then get the 2 white guys and 2 black guys! Jesus christ its that simple! BUT then all of the politically correct Dildos step in and grab their 15 minutes of fame just to get attention. OK so listen up..

1) if the part calls for a WHITE PERSON than cast a WHITE PERSON!
2) If the part calls for a black bodybuilder than cast a BLACK bodybuilder!
3)if the part calls for 4 men than cast 4 MEN-- not 4 WOMEN!
So in conclusion stop re-making classic tv shows that orginally had a white cast and casting black people in its place. Ghostbusters had 4 MEN not 4 WOMEN! stop rewriting, re-making history. Leave the originals alone because Everytime Hollywood (race) re makes something THEY RUIN IT!
